I can't believe how fast this month has gone by! We have had some ups and downs with Addisen's health, but I am glad to say we are finally on the healthy track! She had two doctors appointments last week: 1. ENT to check her top lip. In January, Jim noticed that Addisen's top lip was attached to the top of her mouth between her two front teeth (apparently the reason for her gap). We were finally able to have it evaluated on Tuesday, and good news! No surgery! The ENT thought that when her other teeth come in that the gap would close and the skin holding her lip will be squeezed off. 2. Her 15month well child appointment - she has a clean bill of health and we are decreasing her steroid inhaler! Addisen is 24.5lbs and 31inches long (in the 75th percentile for both height and weight) and of course her head size if off the charts!
A few weeks ago I found a great deal at Kohl's - matching visors for the whole family (really just for Jim running) - they were each only $1.80!
We have been blessed with some pretty amazing weather here in Michigan. We set many record temperatures during the last few weeks. Which gave Addisen a chance to check out the swing set. At first she wasn't sure what to think of the sand, but she really loves it now!
Serious face!
I guess that was fun!
A few weekends ago Jim went to visit his family, which left me as a single mom on the weekend for the first time in a long time! We decided to head to Grandma and Bobos and went to the zoo (never thought it would be 80 degrees in March! Look at those shorts!)
Brody had a great time seeing the animals, and Addisen enjoyed the ride while she snacked.
Checking out the lion
New to the zoo this year was the Rhino!
Addisen loved watching the Lemurs - she stood there and smacked on the glass at them!
Today we hosted the 1st Annual Easter Egg Hunt for our neighborhood. My friend Barb has hosted an Egg Hunt for the past few years and it is a blast! I have been waiting anxiously for enough people to move in our neighborhood for us to have one!
Grandma came to help out with Addisen. We had a great time, but it was pretty cold! Jim and I also watched some of Brody's friends (twin 4 year olds). We had a great time, but wow two 4 year old boys are exhausting!
Addisen picking up her two eggs - those are the only two that she picked up. I guess it makes sense, she only has two hands!
Brody had a great time! I filled a little over 300 eggs for the kids and they were done with the hunt in about 15 minutes! It was so much fun to see all of their excitement. We had about 20 kids for the hunt, I hope it is just as successful next year!
We finished off the day with a birthday party for one of Brody's buddies. It was at a Play World - the kids had tons of fun and were definitely worn out by bedtime! I am hoping that with no nap and a lot of running around today that Brody will sleep in past 6:45 tomorrow morning!
We hope everyone has a great Easter!
